First Reading of an Ordinance repealing Chapter 14.28 Article III of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas granting American Medical Response of Texas, Inc., a franchise to operate a medical transfer service and not extending the franchise agreement -- John Sullivan, Fire Chief

The purpose of this agenda item is to repeal Article III of Ordinance 14.28 medical transfer service (MTS) franchise agreement granting American Medical Response of Texas, Inc. to operate a medical transfer service.

Franchisee did not request a three-year extension of the franchise by submitting an application to the City's Fire Chief no later than six months prior to the expiration of the franchise.

A copy of the Franchise Ordinance Chapter 14.28 repealing Article III has been included for your review and reference.

A second reading repealing this ordinance is tentatively scheduled for September 27, 2022.
