Consideration and possible action for the approval to purchase three (3) Chevrolet Tahoe PPV Vehicles from Caldwell County Chevrolet through Buy Board Contract #601-19 in the amount not to exceed $241,427.94 -- John Sullivan, Fire Chief
ITEM SUMMARY:

The vehicles listed below are new additions per the proposed FY23 budget.

(3) Chevrolet Tahoe PPV Fire Department Response Vehicles.

 

The up-fitting of the three vehicles (emergency lights, equipment installs, etc.) is provided by Siddons-Martin Emergency Group.  All vehicles will be used by Fire Department personnel to ensure the protection and safety of the citizens of Georgetown.

 

Buy Board is a cooperative contract that results in competitive pricing for public safety vehicles.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

These vehicles are being ordered earlier than usual due to constraints in the global supply chain. The vehicles are included in the FY2023 budget. The Fleet fund has a fund balance capacity to cover the encumbrance of the vehicles until it is physically received and paid for in FY2023 in the amount of $241,427.94.
