Consideration and possible action to approve the purchase of (14) Ford PIU Ford Explorer Patrol Vehicles, (1) Ford PIU Explorer CID Vehicle, (1) Ford PIU Traffic Control Vehicle, and (1) Expedition Max Crime Scene Vehicle through the TIPS USA 200404 Contract for an amount not to exceed $1,407,401.09 -- Scott Parker, Fleet Services Manager |
| | | | | | | | ITEM SUMMARY:
(10) Ten of the Patrol vehicles and the (1) Traffic Control vehicle have been evaluated in the Fleet replacement model and are part of the replacement cycle for FY22/23.
The remaining vehicles listed below are new additions per the proposed FY23 budget.
(4) Four Patrol vehicles
(1) One Ford PIU Explorer CID Vehicle
(1) One Expedition Max Crime Scene Vehicle
All vehicles will be used by law enforcement personnel to ensure the protection and safety of the citizens of Georgetown.
TIPS USA is a cooperative contract that results in competitive pricing for public safety vehicles.

| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL IMPACT:
These vehicles are being ordered earlier than usual due to constraints in the global supply chain. The vehicles are included in the FY2023 budget. The Fleet fund has a fund balance capacity to cover the encumbrance of the vehicles until it is physically received and paid for in FY2023 in the amount of $1,407,401.09.
