Consideration and possible action to approve the purchase of (22) vehicles from Silsbee Ford through Good Buy contract# 22-22 8F000 for an amount not to exceed $868,198.24 -- Scott Parker, Fleet Services Manager |

21 of these vehicles are new additions per the proposed FY23 budget. These vehicles will be purchased for use by new positions in the City of Georgetown. The vehicles and positions are as follows:

(3) Water Tech. Trainees- (3) 2023 F-150 Ext. Cab 4X4 Trucks
(1) Water Utility Maintenance. Supervisor- (1) 2023 F-150 Ext. Cab 4X4 Truck
(4) Senior Water Plant Operations Techs. - (4) 2023 F-150 Ext. Cab 4X2 Trucks
(1) Plant Operations Supervisor – (1) 2023 F-150 Ext. Cab 4X2 Truck
(1) Project Manager (Sidewalk/Bike/Downtown)- (1) 2023 F150 Crew Cab 4X4
(1) Utilities Scheduler/Planner- (1) 2023 F-150 Regular Cab 4X4
(1) Airport Vehicle- (1) 2023 F-150 Regular Cab 4X2
(1) Environmental Services Coordinator- (1) 2023 F-150 Ext. Cab 4X4
(1) Transportation Planning Manager- (1) 2023 F-150 Ext. Cab 4X4
(1) Conservation Tech. – (1) 2023 Ford Escape AWD
(1) Water Compliance Specialist- (1) 2023 Ford Escape AWD
(1) Utilities Conservation Coordinator- (1) 2023 Ford Ranger 4X4
(1) Industrial Pretreatment Program Tech. – (1)2023 Ford Ranger 4X4
The remaining vehicle is part of the FY22/23 replacement schedule.
(1) 2023 Ford Escape AWD replacing a vehicle for Information Technologies.
Good Buy is a cooperative contract that results in competitive pricing for vehicles.

| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL IMPACT:
These vehicles are being ordered earlier than usual due to constraints in the global supply chain. The vehicles are included in the FY2023 budget. The Fleet fund has a fund balance capacity to cover the encumbrance of the vehicles until it is physically received and paid for in FY2023 in the amount of $868,198.24. |
