A review of the miscellaneous utility account fees and charges was completed as part of the current Electric Rate Study. The last review of these fees and charges was done in 2012. Many changes have occurred in the past 10 years related to labor market, inflation, expanded the City’s water service territory, and installation of technology enhancements to comply with current industry regulations and requirements.
The City’s consultant, NewGen Strategies, provided a cost recovery review determining the costs associated with the services provided and proposed changes. The fees and charges are included in the Fiscal Year 2023 budget and will be effective on October 1, 2022.
