Consideration and possible action to approve a Municipal Service Agreement with Orenda Education for the provision of municipal services, upon annexation, to an approximately 52.027-acres tract of land out of the Joseph Mott Survey Abstract No. 427 and the Calvin Bell Survey Abstract No. 112, located at 3360 Westinghouse Road (2022-6-ANX) -- Sofia Nelson, Planning Director

ITEM SUMMARY:

Overview of Applicant’s Request:
The applicant is requesting annexation for a 52.027-acre tract generally located at 3360 Westinghouse Road. The subject property has a Future Land Use designation of, Mixed Density Neighborhood. Concurrent with the annexation, the applicant is seeking initial zoning designation of Public Facility (PF).

 

The item under consideration tonight is to approve the municipal services agreement required for voluntary annexation submitted in accordance with State Law.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
City services, including police and fire protection, emergency medical services, solid waste collection and disposal are immediately subject to the property upon approval of the annexation ordinance. Extension of capital improvements such as water and wastewater systems will be subject to the City’s utility extension and improvement policy or the terms of any potential agreement with the property owner.
