Presentation and update regarding the engineering analysis of sites for downtown parking garage -- Laurie Brewer, Assistant City Manager, and Fabio Serrato, WGI

Council directed staff on July27, 2021 to utilize the prior study work, completed 2015-2020 to accelerate the analysis of potential sites for a downtown parking garage.  On August 10, the Council directed staff to include the following potential sites for an updated analysis to be performed by WGI Engineering, the firm that has done work on downtown parking for Georgetown since 2015.

•      Review 4 city-owned sites

•      (North or Daisy Lot) Austin Avenue and 4^th

•      (South/Red Poppy) 9^th and Main

•      (Central/Bluebonnet) 6^th  and Main

•      (Library) Rock and 9^th

•      Review a potential non-city owned site

•      Tamiro (6^th and Austin – East)

This presentation will cover the information the Council requested.  The consultant engineer will be available to answer questions.

An estimate of the cost for development of each site will be included in the engineer’s presentation.
