The City Council adopted a written policy Resolution No. 111406-U for naming City Facilities, Public Park Lands and Public Streets for the City of Georgetown on November 14, 2006.
The City Council directed staff to update the policy to follow best practice and industry standard. The most significant changes to the policy are the requirement for a petition, a completed application, and the composition of the renaming committee. |
