Consideration and possible action to approve an annual appropriation of $380,000.00 to SoftwareOne, Inc. for Microsoft software and services -- Chris Bryce, IT Director |
| | | | | | | | ITEM SUMMARY:
The City of Georgetown purchases all Microsoft products (server software, cloud services, office productivity suites, hardware, etc.) through SoftwareOne, Inc. SoftwareOne, Inc. is one of two vendors designated to sell Microsoft products under Texas Department of Information Resources contract pricing. Licensing for Microsoft is determined by usage and typically increases as the City grows in employees and the amount of Microsoft software used.
SoftwareOne, Inc.’s services are purchased in accordance with contract terms set by the State of Texas’ Department of Information Resources contract DIR-TSO-4061. |

All items were budgeted during the FY 2022 budget process. Expenses in the amount of $380,000 will be recorded in IT - Software Maintenance Subscriptions and Support Services.
SoftwareOne, Inc.’s services are purchased in accordance with contract terms set by the State of Texas’ Department of Information Resources contract DIR-TSO-4061. |
