City staff received notification that the Williamson Central Appraisal District (WCAD) is asking for nominees to submit for election to their Board of Directors. The WCAD Board of Directors Election Procedures packet is attached to this coversheet for additional information.

The City Council is asked to consider the nomination of candidates for placement on the election ballot for the WCAD Board of Directors.

In 2019, The City of Georgetown and Georgetown ISD nominated Harry Gibbs.  Williamson County nominated Jon Lux and Lora Weber was nominated by the City of Round Rock to take Rufus Hunnicut’s place on the Board of Directors when he stepped down.

City staff has confirmed that Harry Gibbs, Lora Weber and Jon Lux have indicated that they are willing to serve again.  Council can nominate others as well. 

The Nominations must be received by the Williamson Central Appraisal District (WCAD) no later than October 15, 2021. The WCAD Board of Director Election Ballot will be brought back at a future Council Meeting in November 2021 for placement of the City Council’s vote for candidate(s).
