Consideration and possible action to approve the First Amendment to the Consultation Agreement between Jim Briggs and the City of Georgetown to provide long range water supply  consulting services in an amount not to exceed $40,000.00 for this fiscal year -- Laurie Brewer, Assistant City Manager

The original consulting agreement was executed on February 11, 2020 for consultation services and this amendment is to extend the original agreement for an additional term beginning on October 1, 2021 and ending on September 30, 2022.

•  The scope of work is for consulting services on long range water planning and regionalization of water infrastructure through coordination with the Brazos River Authority, including evaluation of long term water supply proposals and contract terms.
  
•  Service on the Region G Water Board to support long-range water planning for the City of Georgetown and the rest of Region G.

Even though the total amount of the amendment is under $50,000, payments will overlap fiscal years and the annual amount will exceed the $50,000 threshold which requires Council approval.  The amount spent on the current FY21 year’s contract is $27,151.72.

All other terms and conditions remain unchanged from the original agreement.

The funding for this consulting service is in the Water Services budget.
