SUBJECT:
Second Reading of an Ordinance for the voluntary annexation of approximately 20.00 acres of City-owned right-of-way situated in part in the J. Patterson Survey, Abstract No. 502 and the Barney C. Low Survey Abstract 385, and known as Westinghouse Road -- Nat Waggoner, PMP, AICP, Assistant Planning Director - Long Range Planning
ITEM SUMMARY:

Westinghouse Road, between I-35 and FM 1460 is owned and maintained by the City of Georgetown and Westinghouse Road between I-35 and FM 1460 is contiguous to the city limits; therefore eligible for annexation proceedings according to the Texas Local Government Code, Section 43.1055. Per the Texas Local Government Code 43.063 – two public hearings were conducted 20-40 days before first reading of the annexation ordinance.

 

City Council First Reading

At their September 14, 2021, the City Council approved the first reading of the ordinance and service plan with a vote of 6-0 in favor.

There is no financial impact identified at this time.
