Consideration and possible action to approve a Municipal Services Agreement with Norm Ashby for the provision of municipal services, upon annexation, to an approximately 24.744-acre tract of land out of the Willliam Roberts Survey, Abstract No. 524, Texas, generally located at 2101 Shell Road (2021-10-ANX) -- Nat Waggoner, AICP, PMP, Assistant Planning Director - Long Range Planning
ITEM SUMMARY:

Overview of Applicant’s Request:
The applicant is requesting annexation for a 24.744-acre tract generally located at 2101 Shell Road. The subject property has a Future Land Use designation of Mixed Density Neighborhood and Regional Center. 

 

The item under consideration tonight is to approve the municipal services agreement required for voluntary annexation submitted in accordance with State Law. The applicant is seeking Rural Estate (RE) initial zoning designation concurrent with annexation.

• 11/2/2021 – P&Z Public Hearing & Recommendation on Initial Zoning
• 11/9/2021 – City Council Public Hearing and First Reading of Ordinance
• 11/23/2021 – City Council Second Reading of Ordinance

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
City services, including police and fire protection, emergency medical services, solid waste collection and disposal are immediately to the subject property upon approval of the annexation ordinance. Extension of capital improvements such as water and wastewater systems will be subject to the City’s utility extension and improvement policy or the terms of any potential agreement with the property owner.
