In November 2020, the City awarded a Master Service Agreement to LJA Engineering for right-of-way acquisition and relocation services, 21-0046-GS. In May 2021, the MSA was amended to establish a not-to-exceed amount of $500,000 for the term of the contract, including any renewals.
The original agreement called for a one-year term, with two additional one-year renewal options, for a total term of three years. Although the original one-year term does not expire until November 2021, City staff would like to renew the term for the first renewal option, through November 2022, in order to authorize task orders for projects that will extend beyond the expiration date of the original term. In particular, the Berry Creek Interceptor project, the South Lake Treated Water Line project, and the Shell Road Water Line project each require right-of-way acquisition services that will extend into the spring of 2022.
There is no additional cost associated with this renewal of the MSA.
