The attached Master Services Agreement (MSA) is for professional engineering services related to typical city infrastructure projects – primarily, but not exclusively, related to construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, and environmental engineering. Terracon has successfully performed these services on many City of Georgetown projects and is highly qualified to continue to do so.
This MSA is for one year only. Previously MSAs have been issued for five-year terms. As a reminder, Council and staff are actively working through updating our consultant selection process to develop a new formal three-year request for qualifications process. This MSA will be used for projects that come forward before the updated qualification process occurs.
No project or work is being negotiated with this item. This simply represents the terms that the city and consultant will work together. Any actual work and expenditures will be brought forward through the standard Task Order process and in accordance with city purchasing rules and state law.
Staff recommends approving this MSA with Terracon.
