Consideration and possible action to approve the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Georgetown, Texas and Travis County Emergency Services District No. 2 to coordinate a clinical ambulance training rotation provided by Georgetown Fire/Medical -- John Sullivan, Fire Chief

This Interlocal Agreement would allow students of the Travis County Emergency Services District #2 Paramedic Program to participate in clinical learning experiences as a student volunteer with Georgetown Fire/Medical. Eight of these students are current Georgetown Fire/Medical employees. These experiences would include riding out on a Georgetown Fire Department medic units as well as attending clinics, courses, and programs conducted by Georgetown Fire/Medical. The students will gain on the job experience as well as being able to obtain clinical hours required by the Department of State Health Services. This partnership will help with future recruitment as well as allowing our newest employees the benefit of learning paramedicine in the very organization and community they will be serving in the near future.
